In The Sun today Gordon Smart (editor of Bizarre) is trying to expose Burial. He's asking for people who know the real identity of Burial to call him. He was also saying that some people think Burial is the alter ego of either Fatboy Slim or Aphex Twin (I don't know where the hell he got that info from). They really know how to ruin a good thing, don't they?

That makes me feel sad. It's like cornering a wounded creature. I don't think it'll make any difference to the real dubstep scene but it's such a shame that something like this can undo years of hard work (the anonymity) in a matter of days.On another note, that is just what I thought he would look like.EDIT: some people already knew who he was but it was nice to have the mystique.

C/SAt least the good thing with the Mecury Prize is that the mainstream media eventually forget the nominees and may focus on the winner. If Burial doesn't win, I doubt Gordon Smart will mention him again. Even if he does win, there's only so much material a tabloid can generate about someone who actively stays out of the limelight *crosses fingers*But at the end of the day, it's what Burial wants to do with himself that matters.

lol naaaa not a chance!i doubt ppl who like burial will like dubstep cos his music is more experimental garage/ambient than it is dubstep...altho dubstep is a wide range i cant see the bulk of it steppin out of its obscurity as u would put it. at most these awards will bring more attention to dubstep but thats not to say it will be everyones cup of tea.basically rather then ur average joe going "whats dubstep" wen u speak of it, they will know probably.
