Rewireing Ableton into FL

Okay I want FL8 as the host and Ableton 8 as the client - but it's just not working. I swear you just load up the rewire plugin, select ableton and click 'show client' (or whatever the button says). But nothing loads up, and if I try to start Ableton normally it doesn't load up in client mode.Anyone know what's wrong?

FL has the best drum sequencer, and is very easy to use, that's why I use it, but Ableton has some very nice exclusive sounds that's why I want to rewire it.If you rewire FL as a client can you use it's sequencer?
it seems to me like u actually want a couple of sounds from a plug in ableton u like, but want the sequencer/drums from fruity. U could bounce a few notes of whatever sound it is u like in ableton, and then load them up in a sampler in fruity as a patch, not sure how u do it as opposed to how you'd do it in reason, but by bouncing, say middle C, and then playing it back, if u play one note up from the root note of the sample the sampler will play that note at a higher pitch.

I've rewired Reason before so I know what I'm doing, I'm just wondering if there's something extra you have to do for Ableton because it doesn't pop up when you press the 'show' button like it does with Reason.@ BMC that would work if it wasn't multi-sample patches + changing pitch doesn't give the same sound as it would give if I was using the proper sample for that note
