Guest M12 Posted June 19, 2007 Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 So at work there's this one guy at work.It all started when someone told him i used to play football for an academy side. he's been pestering me for months to play for his 8-a-side power league type thing team. so a couple weeks ago i was bored and wanted to play so said yeh. Went scored a few goals and played alright but we still got banged. the rest of the team are like social rejects graduated from high school. they range from like 21-40 and their all sh*t. like PROPER sh*t at football. He keeps asking me to come back and ive said no like 3 times just saying i have a big workload cos of exams. He keeps pushing it though and its starting to annoy me. If he was a colleague i'd just straight boy him off. but hes my supervisor. He controls the rota. He gives me exactly the shifts i ask for and when i need it he lets me leave early. like this weekend im leaving 45 mins early because im going raving and need to get to one of my mates house's for 9. i told him exactly that and he said yeh its fine.He's also asked me to come out with his family for a drink cos his cousins who he doesnt like are round or something like that. which i will also swerve. He's an alright guy but he's a work friend. He's starting to try to get a bit close for my liking.I wanna tell him he's being a bit full on, but he will obviously get offended and I'll lose all my shifts that are tailored around my college/social life.How can i still stay "safe" with him without having to attend these swag functions outside work and play for his team full of wastemen?
