MAKING .GIF FILES

with vlc player u dont have to keep pausing it and takin snapshots , u just set it to take a snapshot of every frame , or every 3 frames , of the clip u want as an animated gif . . .
how do i do this ?
Settings > preferences > tick advanced options box go to video and expand the menu > click on output modules > change video output to "image video output"then expand the output modules title and click on image file where u can chnge settings such as how often to take snapshot eg. every frame or every 3 frames . but remember if you do it every frame there will be a lot more snapshots and the gif may be too big in size . also i recomend saving to .png rather than jpg because the quality is much better . after youve done this click save and close vlc . then open the video file u want with vlc and it will change the frames to png automatically so skip to the part u want . u cant see any video so u will have to remember what time it comes in and what time it ends . and remember to put the video file in a seperate folder because there will be loads of image files in the same folder . . . then u can delete frames u dont want and once u done that put it in imageready . . ask if u need help with imageready too . and remember to look at the setting before u change them because u will have to change back to those when u want to view videos again .

So how do i use imageready?
ok when u take snapshots they should already be in order of name , like img1 img2 img3 etc. u just put them in a folder , open imageready >file >import > folder as frames (choose the folder with the pics in it)it will make it into a movie and u will be able to view it by pressing play . then to make it an animated gif click save optimized as and choose gif on the drop down menu .
