Tryin to record a little set on Soundforge

The levels whilst recording seem too high, been in to properties and that, adjusted volume settings but to no avail.I've done properly before but can't f*cking remember how to get the levels ok without it effecting the volume whilst mixing.(it'll be some old garage beat, So Solid, Wookie, Zinc, requests welcome still).

Turn the master volume down. If your input is distorted no amount of f*cking about with it in soundforge will save you. You are runnig your mixer through an Amp afterwards yeh?

wot about the settings on ur soundcard? Wot if u connect the computer to ur mixer so the signal is coming from ur mixer, adjust the volume there and then u can change the level on ur amp for when u mix without affecting the record level. seven wonders - crazy

Turned to volume off and the levels remained critical!?I must have it in the wrong f*cking port on the mixer or something.

happend to me wi soundforge, was fine one day, nex it was all distorted dint matter how i messed wi settings, volume on mixer nothing..I use windows media encoder now, it works fine, jus it records to wma so you have to use another program to change it to mp3 if thats what your after.

garage and jungle together? Don't think it'll work, only two tunes i've got that r jungle that mix into garage r WE R E and the original mix of Renegade snares by omni trio. But i can do u a little DnB mix if u want, i swear i put a garage mix up here a while ago let me know wot u want init.

BMC - I can do both I got the day off I aint bothered But the levels are f*ckED. Frustrating cos I've done it perfectly before.

Tried a next thing and the levels are still f*cked, have to turn the mixer volumes right down to do anything... which is sh*t.
