Yuri
2040s Human body 3.0 (as Kurzweil calls it) comes into existence. It lacks a fixed, corporeal form and can alter its shape and external appearance at will via foglet-like nanotechnology. Organs are also replaced by superior cybernetic implants. It just seems a tad unlikely to me, dunno about you lot though.
spiderman
lol does he mean a nano tech version of biology? bit far fetched tbh. would be easier to just replace the whole body (with nano tech or whatever) and just keep the brain and heart which themselves would be supplemented by lots of other machines. Captain Planet
lol some people would like to spend forever in this hellhole but all this sounds like some futuristic dystopia where humans have taken it too far

Jefferson
Although some stuff may sound far fetched, look at how far technology has come in the last couple decades.. anything could happen...

Axiom
a lot of the stuff he's talking about seems plausible, i dunno about the time-frame he's given but anything's possible considering how much technology has advanced in the last 20 years, it's actually mad the waking up the universe thing does sound a bit much but i reckon we definitely will get to a point where we have access to resources on other planets. i really do believe its only a matter of time the A.I takeover does sound far-fetched and unfavourable to us, but it doesn't make it any less truthful, being purely rational beings and unhindered by emotion they will become the dominant species, nature/survival only knows functionality. of course this is dependent on humans allowing A.I to develop that far without some sort of fail-safe his perspective is a bit linear, it's like there's too much emphasis on the advancement of technology i guess you could argue that it is the driving force of human development but like someone said earlier things like bureacracy, economical issues and resources will probably delay advancement. he doesn't place enough emphasis on things like conflict and other emotive human behaviour, natural changes/disasters/risks etc. i'm sure specialists from other fields have plenty of sh*t to say against his theory
Guest Esquilax
He does have plenty of critics, but the accuracy of his predictions is hard to look past. As for emotionless AI, I think by the point this is all plausible, heavily advanced scans of the human brain may be able to synthesise human emotions. I don't know about dystopia, as someone who has gained most of their knowledge on most subjects from the internet, the idea of an integrated net-consciousness where information can be uploaded is something to look forward to. The nano tech has potential to cure all diseases, as well as nano tech bio terrorists coming into the fore.

Guest Esquilax
I would suggest anyone who is interested in transhumanism to watch this about Ray Kurzweil http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6214542/Transcendent_Man_720p
