House next door to me got squatted back in the day.

Was playing in my back garden back when I used to have dreadlocks, and some crusty hippie emerges from di squat smelling of patchouli and smoke and tried coming into my back garden. Can't remember what he said to me, but I was shook as I'd never really seen a 'druggie' before and I was youted, so I ran and told my dad.

Dad comes out, chases the guy back up the wooden stairs that lead into the squat. It's basically a flat above a shop, so the house is first floor. My dad went back in, grabbed the chainsaw, and cut the stairs down They were stuck in the yard for time, had to face a 2m drop to get out of the flat, the possibility of seeing my angry Jamaican dad, as well as feds/bailiffs.

They were pissed.

The problem wasn't the squatting, it's that the glue sniffing crustie wanted to come into OUR garden. He let himself in the gate, and got chased out swiftly afterwards.
