Mame Biram Diouf
AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano took a significant step towards a return to first-team action with AC Milan by training with his team-mates on Thursday. The Italy international was sidelined by heart surgery after going through a mini-stroke last November on a flight back to Rome. While there has been no definite time frame set for his return, Cassano's early resumption of training could only be good news for coach Massimiliano Allegri, who earlier this month stated that he was hoping for an early return for Cassano. The 29-year-old has been back in training for the past few weeks training separately from the rest of the squad. On Thursday, he joined up with his team mates for training after their goalless draw against Barcelona before resuming his rehabilitation program. While it is unlikely that Cassano will be ready to make his return by Milan's next match, the news will undoubtedly be a boost for Italy team manager Cesare Prandelli, who stated his desire to bring the striker to Euro 2012. AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso also made his return for the Rossoneri recently against Parma, making his first appearance since the opening game of the season after an eye injury. Great news for him and football
