It was a procedural thing I had to go through, and my husband backed me all the way.’ Mrs Hutcheson forced the tribunal – and demanded her other half pay legal costs – after her work arrangement as practice manager at her husband’s dental clinic in Aberdeen went sour. She began working there in 2008 after striking a deal that she would work without pay for a year ‘to prove what I was worth’. She claimed that after that period was up she was promised that she would become a full member of staff with a £3,000-a-month wage.
