Colleagues and friends of the star have been coming forward over the past few days claiming that Rihanna often has unexplained marks on her body. A LAPD source revealed, "We're talking to her friends and management, who say she's appeared with mysterious marks or injuries before, but always refused to explain what happened. There was one instance when she suddenly appeared with an eye patch, saying her cornea had been scratched." If Rihanna was using her eye-patches to disguise injuries, then she must have been enduring the violence for quite some time, as the accessory has become a regular sight at her live performances. US reports are also claiming that it was Rihanna's mum who persuaded the star to contact the police, and that the young star herself was initially reluctant to do so.
