Exactly snoop, that has become the representation of Jamaica got all these ppl who dont know anything about jamaica ( nanny, the maroons, the struggle, armed forces, windrush need i go on?) i saying that ppl in jamaica are exactly as portrayed as in the youtube videos. guess ppl dont want to know the truth about jamaica cause it is not as exciting. It is a sorry situation i LOVE my music and i am glad for the new law as long as it doesn't stiffle creativity... no one says you cant talk about all the popular topics of today just that they mustn't be explicit artist need to appreciate that they are role models.ppl spend a LARGE portion of there life listening to music, the message has got to b positive.....

Myabe when you were younger you didnt fully understand what was being said due to the lyrics being more suttle and not in your face. Every1 in here who is slating bashment yet they still listen to it. ????if i didnt understand it then, i defo understand it now... i mainly listen to 80's 90's dancehall even the EARLY 2000 stuff like orgasm riddim etc...! and a selected few of the recent stuff. so i know what is going on, what was and is said but i just cannot take it now adays.... it seems like now ppl dance without really listening to what they are dancing to/condoning.... I cant listen/dance to that cause i refuse to support artist talkin bout how they sould 'spit inna gyal face' or how a man 'want off yuh gud hole' i mean seriously......they aint got nothing POSITIVE to talk about??THE WORSE THING ABOUT IT IS THE MC/SINGER/ PPL WHO MAKE THE RIDDIMS/ THE DANCERS ARE SO TALENTED IT IS JUST WASTED ON MINDLESS VERSES.... THEY FOUND A CONTROVERSAL PITCH AND IT WORKS SO THEY STICK TO IT PPL LISTEN TO THE AGRESSIVE STUFF CAUSE THEY THINK THEY LOOK HARD JAMMIN TO IT....MATTERHORN ONCE SAID "MAKE A SONG FOR THE LADIES AND IT WILL SELL OFF, ANYTHING THAT GETS THE LADIES MOVING MEK DE MAN DEM MOVE" BEENIE MAN LEARN THAT FORMAT AGES THAT IS WHY HIS sh*t VERY RARELY STINKS...
-
AND ALSO THEY ARE NOT BANNING ALL BASHMENT JUST THE ONES THAT PROMOTE A SHITTY LIFESTYLE
-
about bloody time thats all bashment from about 2004 onwards has been about.. it nis nasty! murder rape gunz when you look back to the 80's and 90's they would sing/ mc about relevant sh*t!i never once heard ninja beres taurus or EVEN beenie talkin about "FORCING IT UP INNA HER" in the words of adonia and/or vybz cartel...it will be good to bring bashment down a peg or too to something you can be proud of. When i was younger you could play bashment at family BBQ's not anymore....

afro jafro man is funny..My current nickname is troublewhen i was younger my cuz used to call me, jaja binks (due to a hairstyle i had back in the day)blanka from street fighter ( cause i used to kick box and my hair was mad long and thick)And Madusa ( again with the hair)

sh*t like this makes me SO embarrassed to be part jamaican but the fact is.... that is how uneducated people act. there are some uneducated jamaicans and alot of jamaicans who are educated. just like over here... they are the equvilent of a jeremy kyle-esque society even jerry springer....the chavs of jamaica. or trailer trash of jamaica even...Your always gonna get ppl like that in every society even so-called '1st world countries'.contrary to popular beliefs Jamaica isn't one big cess pit

to bend over like that is probably the BIGGEST disrespect...

http://www.heatworld.com/Article/9244/Riha...%80%99s+apologyRihanna has maintained a dignified silence about this whole awful Chris Brown hoo-ha – but her friends haven’t. The singer is currently back in her native Barbados, recovering from the injuries she suffered during her boyfriend’s alleged assault, and her pals say she was not at all impressed by his public apology. “All of us, including Rihanna, don't understand how he can say he's sorry on the one hand, but still does not admit any guilt,” says one friend. “He should have expressed more contrition.” Another friend of the singer told a US newspaper that Rihanna is “royally pissed off” with Chris, and thought his statement was “cavalier and arrogant”. But not everyone’s been quite so measured in their reactions – comedienne Roseanne Barr might not have anything to do with the whole situation, but she sure has an opinion about it. “Chris Brown's lies and excuses make me want to beat the crap out of him,” she writes in her ever-ranty blog. “He uses the language of the perpetrator just like every sleazy bastard who ever smacked his wife, kid mother or girlfriend around uses. You dirty bastard, I hope you go to prison for ten years. IT'S YOUR FAULT, a**hole! As for all the mealy mouthed Hollywood and music scene chicks that can't bring themselves to condemn a misogynistic bully, let me say this: your time as whores for propaganda is ending, bitches.” Well. There’s not much more we can add to that, is there?

Up until now, both Rihanna and Chris Brown have kept very quiet on the subject of Sunday's alleged fight, but now it would appear that Chris has decided to break his silence – using his Facebook page. Reports from the US are claiming that Chris has updated the status on his private Facebook page – which is under the name Christopher Maurice Brown – to say "single" and that he's written: "You'll begin to see her true colors. Believe it!" Blimey. In addition to this, another member of the rapper's family has come forward to defend him, but we think she may have actually made things worse. If that's even possible. Chris' cousin Phylicia Thompson told a TV show, "Chris was not brought up to beat on a woman. So it had to be something to provoke him for Chris to do it. He wouldn't have done this just to be having fun..." Er, what?! Not stopping there, Phylicia continued, "He might feel down right now because his fans are looking down on him, like he's done something wrong. Of course, yes, he's done something wrong because he put his hands on her, but like I said, you don't know what happened. He had to be provoked to do it. Chris would never have done it." She isn't very convincing, is she? We think the best thing Chris could really do now is release a statement himself. Surely it couldn't be any worse than what his own family are saying?!http://www.heatworld.com/Article/9155/Chri...to+have+his+say

Posted by heatworld on Friday 13 Feb 2009Filed under: Chris Brown, RihannaFollowing on from reports yesterday which claimed Chris Brown's alleged violent attack on Rihanna was "not the first time", speculation is mounting as to whether the singer's fondness for wearing eye-patches on stage had more to do with hiding bruises than being quirky. Colleagues and friends of the star have been coming forward over the past few days claiming that Rihanna often has unexplained marks on her body. A LAPD source revealed, "We're talking to her friends and management, who say she's appeared with mysterious marks or injuries before, but always refused to explain what happened. There was one instance when she suddenly appeared with an eye patch, saying her cornea had been scratched." If Rihanna was using her eye-patches to disguise injuries, then she must have been enduring the violence for quite some time, as the accessory has become a regular sight at her live performances. US reports are also claiming that it was Rihanna's mum who persuaded the star to contact the police, and that the young star herself was initially reluctant to do so. It's awful to think that Rihanna may have been suffering in silence all this time, but for now we'll just have to wait to find out how much of all this turns out to be true.http://www.heatworld.com/Article/9148/Riha...es+hide+bruises

"...AND THE ISLAND OF BARBADOS IS PRETTY MUCH THE RICHEST ISLAND IN THE CARRIBEAN. THE PM HAS ALL DEM MAFIA, TAX HAVEN MONEY RESTING THERE. A FEW PHONE CALLS INNIT AND CB WILL HAVE HIS TOES CUT OFF. "would have to AGREE with that statement there venom.alot of the caribbean fans watch american cable digital read american materials etc... which means they are pretty much fans of what americans are fans off (ie urban hip hop bet etc) the whole of the caribbean not strictly speaking but in essence like a surrogate american state in terms of reaching target markets etc.....(this is imo) considering how barbados is now part of the caricom (like european union but carib only) and he is probably gonna end up with a conviction if he is black listed in barbados he is pretty much black listed in all the other islands too.... which fan is gonna support an artist who they cant see performALSO pm controls what can and cant b played on tv/radio read in papers etccould be VERY detrimental... .but u know what tump down your woman and you deserve all the bad you get....
