MGS 3 was too muchi remember i couldn't do the fight against the End (the 100 year old sniper), it was pissing me off so much and then i realised if you just adjust the PS2's clock and move the date a few years into the future The End dies of old age...It's them kinda sick touches that makes MGS such a big series

I almost cried when my PS2 died and i didnt get to play this game..Can someone explain the story of it to me...all i know is its before alot of the events of 1 and 2

The game's set in the 60s Cold War-era timeOriginally a rookie Naked Snake (aka big boss) is sent into Russia in order to save a Russian scientist who's hoping to defect to the US called Sokolov; this scientist built the Vostok Rocket (the engine used by the Russians to reach space before the US, also being used in a mobile nuclear battle tank called the Shagohad)during this mission an unexpected thing happens where a rogue Russian colonel of the Brezchnev faction (a real far-right political party) called Volgin uses a suitcase nuke given to him by an American woman called The Boss (this was Naked Snake's mentor) and blows up the facility which the Russian gov were using to conduct field tests on the Shagohad.When the Russian gov finds out they've been nuked, and because Snake was dropped into the region by a US plane the Russians assume that the US launched a nuke against the Russians, breaking MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction Treaty signed by the US and Russia after WW2 basically saying that if 1 country is attacked by a nuke, that country will have to retaliate by launching another nuke...this was a real treaty) and therefore the Russians have no choice but to start a Nuclear War against the USIn order to avoid a Nuclear world war the CIA have to prove that the nuke was launched by a Russian and that a traitor to the US (the boss) supplied him with the nuke without any US assistanceThe US sent Naked Snake back into Russia with the objective of killing his mentor (who's meant to be the most skilled soldier ever) because of their relationship, and also bring back Sokolov who he failed to bring the last timeThere's so much more to the story but that's just the 1st part of the game plus it's tiring to explain

I remember when I lenged off his parrot.... priceless... that fight took me ages still but its immensely fun. I remember reading in a magazine before the game came out that that fight can be as long as twenty minutes.... I think it took me 40 minutes still

lol "i realised" as in "i learnt"The End was bare difficult i had to take the easy way outalso you could have killed him earlier in the game during a cutscene where you 1st meet The End being wheeled off, quick shot in the head with a sniper riflewhen you get to the stage where you're meant to face him you just fight a bunch of soldiers from the Ocelot Unitcourtesy of gamefaqs.com

I actually gave up when I reached The End, I put a the back in a few weeks later and it told me he died of old age, I was just like wtf?On my second run I actually had the patience to face him and it was probably one of the best boss fights ever in any game.

That was freaking sick. They showed you clips from the old Nintendo days then MGS1. Also said "Turn off your console" I knew someone who actually did that.

Raiden isnt in MGS3... however he does make some pseudo-cameo appearance in the form of a mask and a guy named Major Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov... who is gay... whats funny about that was that after MGS2, if not everyone, Majority of people that owned the game would have called him a battyman at some point or the other....
