So would you honestly say to me transport is better out of London then in London, where you have to buy diff tickets depending on which bus company comes. No tube, DLR, also poorer train service.

I don't buy this argument. As a tourist to London myself, I paid 5 pounds for an all day tube ticket.A weekend = a tenner on unlimited zone 1 and 2 travel. Tourists aren't usually going to go outside of zones 1 and 2.

I don't buy this argument. As a tourist to London myself, I paid 5 pounds for an all day tube ticket.A weekend = a tenner on unlimited zone 1 and 2 travel. Tourists aren't usually going to go outside of zones 1 and 2.

rah, that means even i am owed 3pounds. i never got sh*t back, i didnt register tho. when u combine the heat, the grumpiness of people and staff, the rush, lets say they didnt feel they got their money's worth! i think a NY travel card is $24 thats for 7 days unlimited. so thats 12pounds for a weekly travel card. sao paolo costs 10pounds for a week. Air conditioned, alot more top up ticket outlets than u see in tube stations here, and on time. so if man cant bring a tube system up to par to these and many other places in 8yrs.. he's waste.

We're never going to get it down to them prices, everything is cheaper over there. Dont know why you keep going on about Sao paolo's prices, jus from a quick google search, when it comes to cost of living they're the 62nd most expensive in the world compared to London being in the top 5. Every country has delays etc, if you hadnt noticed L.U are upgrading the lines signals etc, which is why they always closing stations at times.L.U was under invested in the past and people expect someone to jus come along an click their fingers and expect it all sorted.

I aint read any posts in this thread im just gonna give my opinion-:I don't really like the tories, and Boris johnson is a bumbling fool dat has no idea about policy and is just a media whore that says what sounds good at the time (a not so good version of david cameron). But there's no way Ken Livingston can win a 3rd term. He's sucked the life out of London and his strategy on traffic has made life hell for regular old skool londoners like me and you. The only thing Ken has done that has been successful is Free travel for under 16's on the buses. And to an extent Community Support Officers. everything else has been a waste of time and money.I hope David Cameron is smart enough to know that all he needs his canidate to campaign on is the congestion charge and they will win by a landslide.

No. I was just rejecting your argument about people that see transport outside of London. I appreciate the fact that London transport is better and I have had to deal with worse transport; it doesn't make the rising prices more acceptable.Forget the bus as well. The problem there is quite obvious and that is oyster top up machines are unavailable at certain times forcing you to pay ã2. I dunno where you got this 90p thing from. What about the stupid prices on the tubes? One stop is ã2 in zone 1. How can he justify that?
