NICHE

SCRAPS

I'm not saying that niche/4x4 isn't good music, it is good music. My arguement is that there isn't really any difference between old skool garage and niche.Who care's if its got a deeper bassline or different instruments, it still sounds like GARAGEIf the difference was major like the difference between normal hip hop and crunk or rock and indie then you could say that niche is its own genre.BUT ITS NOT, ITS GARAGEBLOOOOOOOOOOODY northernersfookin ell man
but the difference between crunk and hip hop isn't major?their is a difference, like I said when you listen to more of it you'll realise cos I said the same things but came to realise their not the same.on the same note of being the same would you say that speed garage and 2 step are the same?

I think it's safe to say that anything that originates from Sheff, Notts, Barnsley and Rotherham is going to be quite dated. Probably very similar to sounds Gas was playing in 2000.
so why are you asking people to up stuff then?this is EXACTLY why 99% of your opinions hold no weight. you dont know what it is but because its not from london it cant be good
Second Ones Old But First To Cum Up On Youtube
paaahahahahaTHAT AINT NICHE!?!?That's a f*cking 4x4 bassline garage.f*ck it, it's just f*cking garage for f*cks suck. These northerners have some f*cking inferiority complex and need to identify themselves with something.Weirdos.
that isn't a bassline tune calm down
Same sound as that T2 beat.Check any old Narrows track and tell me it would not be called Nich now.Check thisNarrows - If they knew what I knowhttp://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR124648
i swear your disabled. your acting like narrows, sirus and DND are new to people up north. like say your educating us to something we've never heard b4. also wiley's eskimo has the same sound as a jungle beat, various hip hop beats sample other genres. and to top it off the tune you selected as being "the same as niche" sounds nothing like it.and you saying its the same as "that t2 beat" just further shows you dont even know what the music is. heartbroken is not the be all and the end all
well as wiley orriginated from jungle thats no suprise
bloody hell.and what have people been saying for the last how many pages.niche or bassline or whatever you wana call it is influenced by speed garage and 4x4 but they ARE DIFFERENT. but all you man have ran in saying the north is just copying music you made 7 years ago and that old skool and niche are the exact same thing. by your standards maybe jungle and grime are the same too then?
i neva had a problem wiv northeners but i see y ppl do nowhave u ever heard jungle an have u ever heard grime its bait its not the samebut i cant say the same for niche sorry

why are you man so bitter about it.
Because "old school garage" is the best genre of music ever created and i think its a pisstake that people are trying to pretend this "niche" music is new when its the same.
im sick of all these different names 2but never is it the same as old school garage

'Your' music didnt sound like it does now before Sticky and Dex were making their 4/4 tunes. You didn't originate the sound, you just built a drug fuelled rave scene around it and then banged out a load of cheap knock offs.
yeh mani go to niche raves and take 5 es its just like kevin and perry go large.its drowns away the pain of being inferior to DnD, and DJ Narrows.Maybe i should move saved soul into my niche folder because you man are right and thats obviously where it belongs.dont talk about stuff you dont know about, it just makes you look more and more stupid

lol at that nonsense. The main debate of this topic is about what the genre is, Genre classification isn't your strong point, which I noticed from the day you tried to convince people that Wretch 32 was doing grime when it was blatantly hip hop.

Dexplicit and Sticky didn't make dark 4/4 though and that's who I mentioned. The only thing similar to dark 4/4 in these tunes is the drum kits and that warp bass line which is played on the off beat. They don't have the same atmospheric cinematic sounds that tracks by Wire, Narrows and Shimano had back in 2003.

About nonsense. If you can find me a Bassline tune made before Bullacake that uses those same drums and bassline melody I will give you £50. You won't find one because all of the current producers tiefed up that one finger bouncey bassline style.Every single Bassline tune sounds the same. And they all sound like the bastard child of Dexplicit, Sticky and DJ Wire's off beat bass synth.

'Did It' by Sticky (not entirely sure it's called that off the top of my head but I have it) sounds like something the northerners would call Niche, or Bassline, but would deny it's Garage.
but as we have already established. you dont actually know what niche is. go listen to some mixtapes or go to a rave then when you talk people will listen instead of scrolling past.and logan you just sound pissed that there is something else that's going to accelerate the rate at which the bigwigs at kiss turn off your lights and tell you that you that rinse fm is only down the road.

That was just Jaws 4/4 with Lorraine Cato on top of it.

nonsense once again.your giving Dexplicit waaaay too much credit. Bulllacake has a standard 4x4 drum pattern so what is it so revolutionary about the drums is it that your giving him credit for?http://www.hardtofindrecordsrecordstore.co.../MR171571_1.mp3
