Star gang u keep mentionin ''what are we doing about it''... there have been people who fought against segregation as im sure u already know... why is it when these people die... Americans feel the need to now reclaim it and use it amongst themelves... and then have their U.K followers doing the same... it doesnt make sensewhy am i going to fight for something and cause riots... for it to be ''reclaimed'' AGAIN... makes no sense
This is what im sayingBlack people/ethnic minorites are soft in this day & ageNo heartHavent even started fighting the battle but your thinking about losing so instead your gonna do nothing because doing nothing will put black people in a better position right?sh*t dont make no god damn senseI mean if you didnt feel strongly about it I could understand but since you lot wana make up a fuss about a word why not do SOMETHING rather than nothing?Rest of your argument is an argument of opinionYou dont say niggaI will say my nigga to my nigga anytime I feel.I havent said anywhere in this topic everyone should say nigga so I dont think its your place to be telling me what and what I should or should not be saying in front of my friendsHave to agree to disagree with you on this one sugar.

I've never seen a black English/British person say the word Nigger.True stories. It's yank begging fyi.If a fellow honkey says the word Nigger, I feel sorry for their mother tbh. I never laugh or encourage it if anyone says it. Got into quite a few rows with people who I thought were out of order.A word that sickens me is 'coon'... only backward Essex boys use it.

In this day and age, the main people who are using this word and who soca junkie and myself are talking about trying to get to understand it's true meaning and why we feel it has no place in everyday vocabulary, are black people. To riot with and fight our own people (not like we aren't doing that anyway) about their use of this word is preposterous. Therefor i see 'doing nothing' when it comes to the word, not in the sense of playing deaf, but as in stop using the word and letting it die out IS fighting it. Not before learning the true history of it though. Knowlege is power.

Why do you have to fight against it? Like I said leave it and it will die. Where has using it got us?
Did you read my post? I said not to fight in the traditional sense but by ignoring it and letting it die lol
Sorry I was just saying in general and to the guy you was talking to. Just couldnt be bothered to quote him

I understood this is where you and soca were coming from ages agoWhat im saying is this is not the solution to the problemEven if black people stop saying nigger do you honestly think the word will die out unless other issues are addressed and dealt with first?

But we are the people with the issue. From when we have empowered ourself with the knowlege and finally stop this words usage among us, most of the problem is gone. You rarely hear the word today being used by another race. And it could even get to a point where we have managed to let go of it and it will mean nothing to us, no matter who it is used by and towards, as we will be above it completely by then and have more respect for ourselves.Edit: just clocked you said other issues and not other races using it, what other issues are you refering to?

Basically im talking about racismThe issue for me is racismBut from what I gather the issue for you is simply the word nigga/nigger.
lol, from when you see how much of a deal the word is to me...just that i believe we can't tackle that problem without fixing ourselves up first. Right now it's a bit of a joke, if the racism argument was presented, a white person could respone with 'your people use a word created to make them feel beneath my people towards each other all the time and refer to themselves as that, you've accepted what we've told you you are'
