But to briefly answer - Islam acknowledges the other religions (Christianity and Judaisim for certain) however the belief is (and this is in no way any disrespect to anyone's faith) the people of those times did not listen to God's message when the messengers for these people was sent (Moses and Jesus etc.) and for that reason Muhammed was sent and Islam is in existance. To answer your question whether a Jew or Christian can enter heaven from an Islamic perspective? Well the answer would be no because there is no acknowledgement of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) who is the final (seal of) messenger(s). However, if a religious Christian or Jew who does not sin, acknowledges Prophet Muhammed as the last messenger as well as one God, then I thnk they can enter heaven.It's a good question, unfortunately I don't have any evidence to back this up but I'll look in to it cos it is interesting!Christianity, Judaisim and Islam all have similarities because as a Muslim we do believe they once existed but things have been changed and the message became distorted and that's why the Prophet Muhammed was sent down. He was sent not just a leader for certain tribe but for all of mankind. Islam acknowledges Jesus, Moses, Abraham and adds Prophet Muhammed however the story from a Muslim of Jesus is he was not crucified.Honestly speaking when I was younger I questioned (though I feel bad and I shouldn't have done!) things in Islam and though they say it's best not to question every single thing I was unsure about was answered. Like the day of Judgement and whether it will happen, why is Islam the right religion? etc. It's because it has an answer for everything.For whoever asking; Ramadhan takes place once a year based on the Islamic Calendar (which is calculated via the sighting of the Moon), thus it falling 10 - 12 days earlier each year.There are two Eids. Eid-ul-Fitr which after Ramadhan and Eid-ul-Adha which at the end of the Hajj pilgrimage, this is for celebrating Abraham's love for God where he was willing to sacrifice his son, as a test to his true belief. is it only in ramadan in which muslims are required to fast? and what tells you when it starts if it changes every year

It's cumpulsory in Ramadhan. Can fast at other times also but not cumpulsory then, they're optional.It's based on a lunar calendar, that's why there's 10 - 12 day shift forward with the Gregorian Calendar.
