but if anyone thinks a boxer would beat an MMA fighter in an MMA fight then they are wrong due to the bigger skill set MMA fighters have
But who is saying that?I think the consensus is that Boxers would win in a boxing contestMMA fighters would win an MMA contestThread is becoming repetitive
'Manny Pacquiao' came across in some of his posts as though he thought thatthe consensus are correctand yes I agree, very repetitive.

A streetfight is ANYTHING GOES. Boxing is hands only. Therefore MMA fairs better in a streetfight which is why I always sayMMA>>>BoxingAnd you clowns talking about that uppercut are f*ck*ng stupid. I agree he shouldn't have been caught with it but you fools dont seem to understand the difference between MMA striking and boxing. In MMA you cant just stand there with a boxers guard because you will be taken down or kicked in the abdomen ya dig?

I can actually feel the pain in your posts. You're hurting because your athletes are one trick ponys? I love boxing, I just dont get why people get so butthurt over the fact they do not have as many skills as MMA fighters. You guys can't accept the fact boxers cant handle being grappled and taken down or even put in a clinch.

Just thought I'd let you know, youre a flippin idiot (swear I've told you this before in this very thread?). A street fight is much closer to MMA rules, so once again, where is your point?

Did yopu not read the post above mine? And you're right a street fight is closer to MMA rules. Therefore if an MMA fighter and boxer meet on the street, I know who I'm putting my money on.

I saw everything. Read the bold. You chat sh*t. I would put my money on them as well but you need to realise they are different sports. Both combat sports, yes, but they are two different disciplines. Its like saying NFL teams will beat Rugby teams. Well duh, NFL throw the ball forward therefore theyre more likely to reach the end zone quicker.Stop comparing in a face-off scenario and deal with marketability, viewiership and those factors

OKAY THEN DOUGHNUTMMA vs Boxing, MMA fighters also throw kicks and elbows as well as using clinches and takedowns to submit their opponent. According to your analogy, MMA is a better style of fighting than boxing (which is what I have been saying all along you tit).

My analogy wasnt to show which is better, it shows that they may seem similar in theory, but in practice they are two different sports within the same genre. Stop comparing if they were to fight each other cos it doesnt make sense. What dont you get? Check the bold and cease replying unless you are going to contribute properly. Everyone (with sense) has said from the jump that MMA are more likely to beat a boxer in MMA rules or a street fight. Are you happy now?

It's the dumb people that I'm preaching to. Even Jesus had to save the lepers.
