Okay, fair enough, i was gonna see if you could even distinguish a 'wonky' tune as uk funky but yeah to the most of it you cant, but anyway, the first one is south african kwaito music, dj mujava - township funk, not a uk production or anything but you still thought it couldve been wonkyThe second one is dj ma1 & simi simi - give it up (special k ill pm you in the morning with it), if im not mistaken ive heard the circle play this who claim to not play 'wonky' but youve just classed the tune as wonkyFor how often your throwin about the term it goes to show that you cant distinguish what wonky is nor can you properly discribe it
TBH, I tried to see if it was a bluff question. It doesn't sound like a "uk funky" tune. I said it might be as you asked and considered a trick question.Like I said, I like it, I have yet to say I like a "uk funky" tune. I consider the second one wonky, full out right.Yeah??? Tipper said he wasn't going to that wonky rave and still showed his face..........Depends what people feel to play, but the ma1 tune is boring tbh.

Lies, what they play and what all the other 'uk funky' djs play is ALOT different, the circle dont even play anythin that could be classed as wonky (seeings as they used it to brand the sound of all the grime funky but you just throw it about on every uk funky tune)So would you even call Shea Soul - Tricks (
) a 'wonky' tune? Restlous Soul are proclaimed House label doing uk funky house, but the sound of alot the tracks they release seem similair to all these tracks your calling 'wonky'Seems to me like you're quite confused and just callin anythin 'wonky' to be different so you can say you dont like it, even when you dont know what it is& township funk sounds alot like a uk funky track, seeings as it was gettin rinsed all over the scene last year, along with alot of other kwaito music sounding like uk funky

I liked something that was not uk funky, so I win :PFirst comment: It is like a dj from a different genre playing a next genre tune because they like it, same as, why can't it run at circle? Even tipper has said he thinks some are sick when he was refering to some "wonky" tracks, so what you say is entirely up to the dj.Shea, that does not sound uk funky, you can tell it is nice. I would never have classed it uk funky, this is soulful/us house. This is the type I would listen to on my way back from watford when I used to rave alot.TBH, I don't class everything uk funky, these are what I consider to be wonky:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-uY5Sw25Mc

Man went to the rave.. rago and what lolsay sumthing!!!!
after all ur discrediting of hotsteppa, funky u still went to the rave hypocrisy is alot
So..Who cares, do you care, cause i dont to be honest, its there thing, what they do does not effectively effect me or my business dealings tbhI stand by everything i have said about stepper.Hawks the other promoter involved rang me 4 times begging me and geeneus to show our faces to show everyone that this whole wonky situation which has been hyped up over that last couple of weeks was long and really nothing in it. So we went in support of him. Told him about Hotsteppers dealings and told him to tell him to fix up. that was that.We went, showed our face for 20 mins then went to do a booking in South London.call it what want really, i couldnt give two shitsMan went and laughed at the kids running round with lucozade bottles in there Hypocrisy is alot...

Your complicating things.I listen to tunes by michael gray etc etc that is classed as funky house, the term uk funky is based on that bullshit stuff the old grime heads started bredding. So "The Weekend" or freemason stuff are uk funky tune??? You kno this is what I think, but you are trying to make me sound silly, but I have stated this many times.Funky house = danceable, uk funky = ex grime guys on the hype to make money due to garage bringing in nothing. How at these djs switched to old skool garage just before the cure and cause hype and just previously calling anything that is house funky house.Allow it man, I feel uk funky = wonky, nothing to cry about.

Tippa (MC from Circle) says: Our take on the term ‘Wonky’ is that for us, in terms of house it means poorly produced uk house or funky should I say as this is what all the kids are calling it.Now I’m not saying that all uk house is sh*t, cause that’s not the case…. Phil Asher, W Beeza, Coopr8, Freerange, Perempay & Dee, Geeneus, Fanatix, Sy Sez & Gavin Peters (Aphrodisiacx), Guy Robin etc… there are loads of acts and producers doing what house is about and producing quality stuff that can rival the us. But we feel the other side of the production which is produced poorly, sounds like a spin off from uk grime and kids using the same loops, same beats, same tribal sounds… And we feel as some of the well known djs that if we as a whole dont speak out and try to educate the new producers coming through on how house is supposed to be made and sound, what its meaning and background is, then who will?I dont even know how we came about calling it wonky, it just came around.. it was only talking with rap Saunders that we found out the term was already used in the electro field I think. In saying that the logo you have seen popping up over myspace and that is just a new teeshirt design we are going to put out that’s all… it was actually targeted at some DJs that have been very vocal in spouting some rubbish that because we dont play wonky, we dont support British, which is actually rubbish as we have stated many a time that we do and should have to prove we do by listing names of artist that are British and putting out decent stuff. Half of those names I have stated above they wouldnt even know… if I said to them Invasion records, or Apple, they would know exactly who I’m chatting about as those are the only producers they seem to think are British.
