Possible a double-entendre in itself, "Double Lotus" is a popular brand of herbal toothpaste in Thailand. While most toothpastes come in white, this one is deep brown (yeah, I know). BTW, Parodontax brand comes in similar shade of brown. What's the Thai TV commercial is trying to say is not to judge this toothpaste by its color, but its merit. Racism against people of African descent--thanks to decades of stunted, colonial-inspired educational system- -does exist. This TV ad just reflects it.
