i wanted to do drama(in alevels) so bad but my parents had none of it

my dad thinks im doing a law degree but i done business economics instead

if i told him a have a degree in business eco he would switch at me still despite the grade

looking back i wish i had done an apprenticeship or went straight to work from school /college instead of uni as nowadays experience is worth so much more than academic abilty

i suppose being an african who wanted to go to uni but never could- youd want ur children to go uni regardless

my kids will defo know their options

My mum wasn't necessarily strict... but I knew not to push the boundaries. One time I did and it was over the stupidest thing ever... my head got knocked on the wall LOL. Learnt my lesson.

I was a good child majority of the time so there was no need for extreme restrictions.

Just wish my mum carried on that level of discipline with my sister... the only boundary she knows not to push is swearing smh.
