E.g If an opportunity comes up which means you may have to work late / do alot more work / working away from the office, volunteer your services instead of trying to get out of it. You can use this opporrtunity for your career development. A promotion opportunity may come up in the future and your experience doing this extra work could be the difference between you and the person sitting next to you getting the job. This is so true. A lot of ppl these days think just because theyv been offererd the post or have the qualifications experience etc feel theyr owed something from the.place they work.you got to put in wether that means going beyond the specifics of your post. The whole ethic of going the extra mile seems non exsistant now.I mean I'm only 27my parents late 60s this Was instilled in me because that was the way to do it the.
