Your sounding like the current Prime Minister and his big society nonsense, expecting people to get together and help each other out, while his mate strips all the assets away, furthering increasing the survival of the fittest mentality for some, amongst the expecting hand outs others...

Only way people learning to be self-sufficent is to take away state benefits, but sadlySOME peope geniunely need them, hence why they was created in the first place...

Certain aspects if this big society thing I'm in full agreement with.

Others are a bit meh.

Obviously those who genuinely need help should get it. But those who can help themselves should ve made to and shown how to do so.

And what is so wrong with communities helping each other out, IMO this is something that should've always been in place in the first place.

It's no surprise that when the first wave of caribean people came over here and had to stick together an be united for certain reasons. We had more of a community strength and sense if identity.

As that united front and common care for your neighbour erodes, we will get steadily worse off.

I think its sick that David Cameron has to tell people to help out the neighbours if it's possible and they have the means to do so. Especially in the black communities.

Where has that spirit from within the black communities that used pardners and Xmas club schemes to help each other put money away for special occasions go?

I feel sad that we live in a generation where in a lot of cases we look to avoid each other when possible and not embrace each other and help each other.

I dont know why the brother always gets crucified on the inter-relationship side of things... But peeps keep a low tone when its a sister in an inter-racial relationship.

Black women don't do it in numbers like black men, 90% of the mix raced children in this country have a black dad.

:Y: Exactly . It's the numbers . If you look at the vast majority of mixed race people, most tend to have white moms and black dads . That 90 percent stat although it seems wild, it also seems very true and it probably is true

Problem there is the people that need help are probably the worse explainers as to wwhy they need the help, where as the cheaters have every reason locked down. Britain isn't very good at means testing anything.

There is nothing wrong with it, but the whole of society has just changed and I dont think it can ever go back.

I know how you feel. It's the youth that i feel sorry for . In a few decades they will have nothing over here .we got so much potential in england but we just sell everything out because "the white man loves us and race is not important nor is our history because it's 2011 " , not only are we trendsetters,, we are also inventors but these coons stay cooning

Full "Mixed" category was first introduced ten years ago

Categorisation for the full ‘Mixed’ group was introduced for the first time in 2001, before which there had been no reliable estimate of the size of the mixed race population (Source: Peter J Aspinall 2000).

Mixed Race is one of the fastest growing minority groups

Growth between 1991 and 2001 for mixed-race was 150% making it the fastest growing minority group. Currently the largest group is the Black Caribbean/White group, however the fastest growing group is Chinese/White. (Source: NS 2001)

Black Caribbeans most likely of Minority Ethnic Groups (BME) to be in inter-ethnic relationships

Black Caribbean men and women were the most likely of any group to be in an inter-ethnic relationship (48% of black Caribbean men and 34 % of black Caribbean women were in inter-ethnic relationships) (Source: Lucinda Platt: Ethnicity & Family Relationships within and between ethnic groups. Institute for Social and Economic Research, University of Essex).

Minority ethnic men mix more than minority ethnic women

Minority ethnic men from all groups are more likely to be in inter-ethnic relationships than minority ethnic women. The exception to this are Chinese women who are more likely to be in an inter ethnic relationship than Chinese men. (Source: Lucinda Platt: Ethnicity & Family Relationships within and between ethnic groups. Institute for Social and Economic Research, University of Essex).

The 2001 national census for England and Wales officially measured for the first time the numbers of British people who regard themselves as mixed race. It revealed that 661,034 people identified themselves as mixed, accounting for 1.3% of the overall population and nearly 15% of the ethnic minority population.

Data from the 2011 national census is widely expected to show that there are now over 1 million Britons who describe themselves as mixed race. Research has found that one in 10 children in the UK lives in a family that describes itself as mixed or multiple heritage.

Mixed race was one of the fastest growing ethnic groups between 2001 and 2011. Population projections by the University of Leeds estimate that the mixed population rose to 968,000 in 2010 and predict that it will reach 1.3 million by 2020 – an increase of 93% between 2001 and 2020. If proved correct, that would mean mixed people will make up 2% of the British population by 2020.

how did this dift into what footballers do with their money

Because instead of each individual saying "ok there's a problem, what can I or the people do to sort it"

People want to be spoon fed. And take a hand-out from those who have got out of the shit.

And use that as the catalyst to do good.

This shouldn't surprise any body when you consider what language many people in the Caribbean speak.

vanished due to individualism and the lack of the need for it most people feel they should each concentrate on THEMSELVES and not care (or watch) next man, someone in this said topic even advocated this in not so many words, people shift from being a group when its convenient and an individual when its convenient its like the funeral mentality. Ya see more relatives when someone dies in the fam than you do on the average day it is what it is and people are just selfish by nature.

yes we know that but you are missing the point what language do they speak in say Jamaica for example other than english? when there is a language barrier it will effect a group because in order for people outside of it to be involved more they need to learn the language in the Caribbean they already speak english so a quick link up is not hard at all and it stands to reason why the Caribbean would have indication of more men and women dating outside of the race, I am surprised you didn't point this out before anyone else.
