its not about liking something you didnt createthe issue is re-creating something then calling it something else and claiming you originated itif you cant see that then boy....
this is exactly what the old skool heads said about grime though.in the 1st stages ppl were still calling grime garage. and the old school heads hated it. niche is an evolution of speed garage, 4x4 and old skool. if the issue is recreation being a problem we should all just listen to jungle and seckle init. cos thats been a big influence on grime. things die and get replaced. sorry to say it but grime is dying. just gotta accept it.

thats the thing though.i listen to old skool and niche.and they are VERY different. thats why it confuses the sh*t outta man when you lot say you cant hear the difference.which is why more time i dont think you actually know what niche is. cos some people do just use it as a collective term for anything 4x4 sounding

lol bare pissed guys.its ok man.theres nothing wrong with liking a scene you didnt create. just go with the flow init.
LolDid the whole garage culture not originate from London?and niche is garageTell the truth would niche really be around if garage wasn't around?and there is no way that it is a VARIATION of old skool garage. If I'm wrong, prove me wrong.IT IS GARAGE. When I heard heartbroken drop in a club for this first time the DJ said 'Lets see who know's about this new garage banger'You lot created niche?orly_therock.jpg

Any slack jawed dumb arse argument.old school garage heads were pissed becuase 4 a while grime shared the same name as garage, thats it. The 2 types of music each had their own distinctive sound thus were distinctivly different. GRIME WAS INFLUENCED BY GARAGE, IT WAS NT SIMPLY A MATTER OF COPY AND PASTE LIKE IT IS WITH THIS NICH RUBBISH.and no one is hatting on the sound, at first i heard that nich was just a type of music that aimed to bring back the sound of garage so in actually fact was just the same thing but re-named to appeal to the youngers. I thought cool, big up nich. But its nt even that people are trying to say that it is an entirely new type of music in its own right and thats just bull sh*t.nich is a testimony to how people who lack creativity will always find a way to rip of thoes that do nt.Northerners know wat the truth is, but are bare happs with the idea that they actually created sumthin. So instead of comin on here saying wat is different about nich and garage wanna come with statements like"its okay to like sumthin u didn't create""garage is flopping thats y yur pissed"" u lot are just bitter"yup.... bare convincing arguments. idiots

Pure hot air.For the 50th time its Bassline 4x4 not niche. It derived from speed garage which I think you will find predates the UKG which your referring to as old school garage. It sounds similar to Garage but it isn't the same, the people who says its the same tend to have heard very little of Bassline 4x4 which is why the vast majority of opinions on here hold no weight. when you've actually taken time to listen to some of the music then come back and put forward an argument cos a lot of people including myself said "Its just garage" up until they heard enough of it to notice the obvious differences. the most blaringly obvious is the drum pattern, Old school garage which most people are talking about commonly has a 2 step drum pattern whereas bassline has a 4x4 drum pattern. Early forms of Speed garage and 2 step are closely related but anyone who cant tell the difference between 187 Lockdown Gunman and Sweet Like Chocolate needs a hearing test. The emphasis on drops similarly to jungle is much more prominent in bassline 4x4. The reason some people call it Niche is because of the club in sheffield which is no longer open, the club was open throughout the 2 Step Garage scene's peak playing Speed Garage so the two scenes did co exist. While 2 step died out and the most widely known form of UKG became grime, Speed Garage was still being played at niche and other underground venues.Bassline 4x4 is the new sub genre of speed garage, the same way liquid funk is a sub genre of Drum and bass and the same way Crunk is a sub genre of hip hop.If you play bassline 4x4 alongside Old school garage you'll notice the difference. The idea that Northerners are tryna say we created something which we didnt is way off the mark, cos we did create a scene that is thriving across the country in most places bar London. The fact so many of you feel to comment on it when you dont like it speaks volumes for the argument some people have put forward that you're bitter about it.
