its not good for your fanbase to bring in the politics. keeping it just about the music just keeps all that other bullshit out the way. true he doesnt need to be extremely professional but still he should know when he says something that might conflict with his fan base. i suppose its cos like you said, when he does say stuff he says those kind of controversial things mainly because they are controversial and they aint always well informed opinions. so its specifically what he he is saying, compared to others.

he isnt the only producer who lets their beliefs be known, lets put it that way.
