but fam why invest in something that ain't worth investing in?the genre that's worth investing in now is funky house imothe grime and wannabee giggs scene ain't worth anytime... coz most heads don't know how to make good music, or hits that will sell, there is no professionalism, and we all know that UK urban music doesn't sell well in this country anymore. This country is to diverse for UK Urban music to be a success. Most north ppl like bassline & make hip hop... most south ppl like funky & grime/ grimey hip hop/ whatever..

The same can be applied with funky though. And personally investment was not in mind, someone needs to subsidize grime for it to live until it can stand on its own two feet.Kind of like early dnb promoters who just loved the genre, correct me if I'm wrong (no sarc).

How many fnky house records are flying of the shelf? The way funky house records are broken in to the scene doesn't encourage profit/business imo.

I know what your saying, but i'm just trying to say imo funky has the most potential out of the rest, because it's simply club music that would get more attention imo..as long as music's getting played out in the clubs, it can never die..

all this sectioning off of genres is what kills the uk scene imo.u need pirate radio back. ppl need to rise thru the ranks, get the name out. then progress to quality videos. as i always say theres no structurechannel u had nothing to do with pirate radio dying if it has quality control its one of the best outlets.it should go pirate radio> > legal airplay> > channel u> > mtvimo
never heard forward riddim on pirate radio first time I heard it was via downloads (so yeah internet had a rold aswell) and on channel Uback in the days when hard riddims dropped on radio like Igloo (wiley-what ya call it) and others like it that was the correct transitionso in terms of a sick beat dropping the transition should goriddim on radio (with mc's spittin) > riddim on radio with lyrics and hook > (now a song) with budget video on channel U > reasonable budget video on MTV

funky is a pure bandwagon jumping genre its not a true urban underground created genre like Grimethe direction of grime 2001/02 was sickhad it all going for itbut then the direction turned sour and it destroyed it self (especially with the introduction of internet and channel U and poor management)point is the urban scene needs to concentrate on its own path and make it develop itself into something....grime was so close right now the only viable urban genre I can think off thats something is dubstep but to be honest I dont ever see dubstep climbing up from the underground
