All of these artists perform week in week out at clubs, the average funky fan will see most of these acts for "free" when they go to a club. Also, most funky tracks are "faceless" so the average punter might like "that song that goes in the morning" but won't know it's Egypt that sings it.

im curious to how you see this as hating?

to be honest i do probably hate funky house deep down, but i haven't seen any hate in this topicin defence of the promoters they were just trying to cash in on the popularity of the scene but for next time they'll have a better idea about what needs tweakingthe day and venue may need looking at.
