As far as I am aware there is nowhere in the Quraan that states Aishah (R.A) was 9 years old.The reason this age of 9 is spread is because it was narrated by one person, however other narrations put her age somewhere between 17 and 20. Including one whice states Aishah R.A sister was around 28 years old when Prophet Muhammed PBUH migrated, now its stated there's a 10 year difference between the sisters. Prophet Muhammed and Aishah R.A got married 1 or 2 years after he migrated to Madinah thus making her between 17 and 20 years.A narration is held to be valid if cited by more than one source, Aishah R.A's age of 9 years old when she was married was narrated by one source therefore the true age of Aishah R.A is unknown.Not only that a number of narrations state Aishah R.A was present at the Battle of Bad'r and Uhud and it is reported numerous times no one under the age of 15 was allowed in to battle so once again this narration disputes her being 9.Say what you want, think what you want, my beliefs remain firm.

Also I'd like to point out...In those times there was no recollection of dates and birth certificates etc. like in this day and age therefore many conflicting ages are given. Dates were given by reference to certain events and the Islamic calendar started after the Prophet migrated.

When the battle of Bad'r occurred Aisha was 10 to 11 years old. She did not go to be a warrior like the boys. She went to keep Muhammad warm in the nights. Boys under the age of 15 were sent back but obviously this did not apply to her.This is the biggest cop out everBasically what you just sat there and said was "Yeah Muhammad might be a f*ck*ng pedophile I hope hes not and I'll pretend hes not but even if he is I wont condemn it"
