Why would people want equality though?

If you do/make something that helps thousands of people, you'd obviously want more than some next guy who's sweeping the streets.

Why should you want more than what you need?

No Conservative but if u dont work, you will nearly always have a roof over ur head and food in ur mouth. it may not be the same house as david beckham or that M&S roast duck but ur basic needs are looked after. in a lotta countries if u have nothing you literally have nothing. i think the main problem we have in england is there isnt much difference financially between someone who works full-time in McDonalds and gets no handouts compared with a single mother who sits at home all day every day and gets child tax credits, discounted rent etc etc.

that's irrelevant but the answer is because you're not satisfied with the bare minimum

if you work harder than someone else you'd want more of a reward, who's to say you don't deserve that?

Again, all work is varied and the type of work you take on should be more to do with how much you can give rather than what you are going to get from it.

If you have evrything you need for survival; a roof over your head, your bills paid, food on the table and a few luxuries, what more could one want?

Why is it everyone seeks to out-do someone else to have an abundance of something that just sits in the bank?
