genital warts and herpes have symptoms that can occur some time after contracting the disease and they have no cure... there are treatments that can help to manage how badly they can flare up but no treatments to cure it.... condoms will not fully protect u from these diseases either.... so no matter how much common sense u think she has, she has no choice but to "let it fester" as she cannot get rid of it
