True, whenever yutes wanna get into grime they want to be an mc or sometimes a producer.Never a dj.I ditched the dj ting for a year and a bit but once you go black you never go back (as in vinyl's )
i mite start a myspace wer i just go round telling all swag mcs/producers to kwit and start supporting talent.but lets face it,noone wants to spend money on music, they want new krep so they can style it out like fat joe.which is why i gave up music many years ago to focus on my clothing/porn empiresoon come
i dunno bout cashwisebut grime is unkillable nowthe levels r gettin ridiculousthe scene doesn't need the backin of ppl who shud b fans eitherall it needs is pens, papers, bars, mics n beatsnuff said
The grime scene needs money in itAlso to the person that said mixtapes are coming out in abundanceAlot of sh*t mixtapes are coming out in abundance.I mean I dont get mcs making mixtapes anyway I swear thats what DJ's are supposed to doBefore they just make albums..
The elements that made grime distinctive are dead.Garage influenced beats Grimey basslinesRiding mic in your own wayBootleg beatsRadioReal ravesBaggaman setsThe listenersIts good that some of them things, like bootlegs, died but not all. 2004 was the last real year of grime. I still listen to this new stuff but its more hip hop than grime.
