When I used this it was really poor.

Half the time I could never access the website.

It isnt THAT expensive to operate a website and I would suggest that it's money well spent seeing as having an online presence is so important.

http://www.businesslink.gov.uk is a great website that will help you out.

http://virginmediapioneers.com is a website that allows you to network with other business owners and discuss ideas with them.

ahh i made some long pst at work and it didnt even send

was sayin, with regards to the phone ting, i set up a PBX in my room back in like 08 and used a VoIP provider who gave me a geographical number aswell, used my landline phone connected to a card on the PBX

man had that IVR press 1 sh*t, call transfer and all the good stuff using my internet connection rather than a phone line. had like 3 lines n sh*t

before that i had the same VoIP provider, but used a desktop client with a USB phone, was pretty cool, but i needed more as it didnt have that IVR sh*t or voicemail.

now u can get apps for your phone to connect to the PBX and use your phone as a landline to make n receive calls through your VoIP provider

not sure if theres an app that lets you use your mobile network to connect to the PBX, may need VPN or sutin, i dunno

but it was cool, i may build another one again

http://fonality.com/trixbox/trixbox-line-asterisk-based-ip-pbx-products

trixbox is a good starter, as for VoIP providers, id recommend voipfone and voiptalk, although for voipfone u need a commercial email address or whatever its called, it wont allow you to sign up with hotmail, gmail etc

built a computer, minor ting it was some old processor n board i had

then i downloaded Asterisk and installed it onto that and connected my phone onto it, i got the card off ebay

you can use something like this to connect to your existing line

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Authentic-X100P-SE-FXO-PCI-Digium-Asterisk-VoIP-PBX-/110645272596?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c2f8e014

to connect your existing phone you can use an adaptor like this which connectsto your router or PBX depending on how you configured it

http://www.voiptalk.org/products/Linksys+SPA+2102

but tbh id rather setup the PBX, connect it to my router and e mobile app over the wifi connection in the house rather than investing to use an existing phone, means u can leave your normal line free aswell

GreyGoose a couple things for you to consider in the cleaning business.

Check in with housing agents, people that move tend to need new cleaners and if they can get that sorted smoothly through an agent then your company might as well be the company that agent goes to.

If your looking to get into big residential blocks then make sure you hook up the concierge. They can make your life hell if you don't simply because they will have a better relationship with the residents.
