but HH originated from sampling..so why is this shocking? dre and timbz are amongst those whove pretty much used the most sampling even.
i knew someone was gunna say thisbut hip hop has come a long way from 80s and so has technologytheres little excuse for using samples these dayz imo

so rock music should do away with the guitars then since bcos of technology u can play the same thing on a keyboard.why should HH do away with sampling? only that u probably never buy a cd..or you would see that they (well usually) give credit to who the original is from. this isnt some "exposure"

apparently dr dre re plays music instead of samplin it in order to pay less royalties
yeah but he also does it so he can make the samples more maluablehe also has the money to afford the best session musicians in the worldquite often what will happen, is one of his 'minion' producers will bring him a beatthe beat will sample an old funk or soul tuneDre will like wot the producers done with it and therefore re-record the track from scratch, using session musiciansDre usually has around five different beat makers working for him at any one time, constantly bringin him ideas

Heatmakerz are worst, they just loop the same thing over so it sounds exactly like the song they've sampled.
they all do that, Heatmakerz jus aren't as goodDisclaimer: i'm a Heatmaker fan

they cant claim full credit, the cd would have the credits there. bcos they used a sample doesnt mean they didnt produce the song.

u cannot sample anything without giving credit unless ure doin white label....entertainment law is the most ruthless of all of them so u better believe that wen u sample ure giving credit and probably alot of ure royalties if ure one of the above named producers cos they r way too high profileK-dot.1p.s. who is the guy who done the ciara tune over on U...i felt like cryin wen i saw that

Kanye is bait.Bait samples and he doesnt even flip them differently at all.He can still make bangers, but when you hear what Premo, RZA, Pete Rock etc. can do with a sample....Kanyes not seeing any of them at all.
true, kanye is a lazy sampler. if u listen to the original sample for jesus walks. he didnt do anything to song except add the drums.

rah bare guys dont know about sampling in hiphop seenagethe way sum1 like premier chops up a sample he creates new music its just as creative as writing a riff on a piano in a given scale just more skill is required in the execution of italso kanye IS bait but he does have a good ear for just making simple effective tracks-it is a money spinning skilland hes also done some genius sequencing h to the izzo and spaceship for instance its above standard sampling

he msut do because some of the songs that he sampled here come in a completely different sound to what his tune has

as for dr dre for the last five years at least his main concern has been the sound and engineering of the tracks thats why his stuff is just simple but large, about ten snare samples in each drum hit or somethingand as for neptunes its known that theyll take an old record and just play over it,ie take the groove of it,then simplify the beat, and use preset sounds from sampler/sequencers to replace the original instrumentation.but yr chick still dance to it regardless init
