That takes far more skill to make it sound effective. 9th Wonder, Khrysis, Premier can chop up a sample and produce a quality piece of hip hop music. There are too many lazy producers who just add beats to a long sample and take credit because the listeners'll have no idea where it came from. I urge you to listen to Lupe Fiasco's "Kick, Push" (tight beat, but beat is just like the original) and De La Soul's "Much More".
