Petition regarding priority to social affordable housing... All Black, White & Asian British people have worked and paid tax and national insurance all their lives and yet their children can not get council or housing association housing without an exceptionally long wait. Migrant workers come to this country without paying into the UK system and yet they are often given housing over our own people. That's what I'm in at present.It does not exactly encourage people to go out and work knowing after working your arse off after paying the bills you're left with nothing.However regarding socials comment on 'left nazi party soon come' LMAOI am not suggesting hate on immigrants, I am suggesting a change in law.

You keep telling me not to comment on things I do not know but you never seem to come with any answers yourself, You say you work at a housing assosiation? Is this what you do with your time? post on VIP2? is it any wonder people are not being housed any faster. Alex also are you British?FAO Social, I just spotted that myself. Ok Ok, lemme get thigns straight. Firstly, I do work in a housing association, not in the Housing department, I work in Repairs, Im off till Thirsday so dont get hype.....My Mum is a Housing manager, so I know whats what....YES I am British, I was born here, my Mum is white before you get excited. My Dad was also born here. I am British.For some reason you seem to think that people come from abroad and just get given houses, because theyre foreign....This is not the case.Their are different priorites based on everyones INDIVIDUAL circumstances. Such as whether they currently have a house to live or are homeless...Whether they have been keeping up with thier rent payments, and dont owe any money. Such as how many children they have and if they are disabled.Once a person comes into the country from abroad, they are treated in the exact same way as an English citizen. They arent given preferential treatment, they are put on a par. So if they wish tojoin the waiting list for a house to become availbale....They will go to the relevant place on the list based on thier circumstances. They arent put ahead of peple like you simply because they are foreign.The system is equal, just because you have been paying taxes all your life, doesnt means that they are unequal to you. As long as they have been paying taxes in thier time in this country then they are equl to you. OK. So then the individual circumstances come into play and from this the waiting list is compiled. The lenght of time you have been waiting is also considered, so its not as if someone can just come along from abroad andtakethe place of a british person who has been waintign for a few years.Another reason for your long waits is due to the lack of housing available to the housing associations.There are many factors, if you really wish me to go on do ask....

ashman the housing system aint really that bad well not in hackney no moreI was on the list for ages then last september hackney joint some system that they use in essex newham and waltham forest where u go online to ask for a yard and u bid online I got a yard after 4 weeks being on it
