Singing in a US accent vs Rapping in a US accent

A big part of hip-hop performance is representing yourself and where you're from. It's just cringeworthy when someone is trying to present themselves and their story/outlook in their lyrics, and aren't even truthfully representing the way they actually speak in everyday life.
So if they were to actually speak in everyday life with an American accent it would excuse them from rapping/singing in the aforementioned accent?LOL

Bring Me.jokin
Think my sister only goes for coloureds still. Im tryna find her a nice Muslim guy with a beard and a double barreled surname which starts with 'Al' but she aint having a bars.
If she was born here theres no way she will marry a dedicated Muslim guy.
I know. Thats what im begining to think now. I needa find a white girl still. Not even chatting sh*t but I need a 'Sarah' or 'jane' to grace my arms from now on.

Come on, even you know this is a silly questionIf they speak with an American accent in everyday life because they are American, then of course they are 'excused', since that's their true and natural toneIf they speak with an American accent on a daily because they're born and raised English people that are putting it on, then of course it doesn't, because they're not even truly representing themselves and their upbringing in everyday life, and are even bigger masqueraders than guys who do it while rapping.
