Guest Scorpzz Posted November 16, 2007 Report Share Posted November 16, 2007 I was just thinking about how they've changed the battle system in the final fantasy seriesI bought FFXII when it came out, played it for a week and it's been collecting dust since then. It just didn't have the same feel that the other final fantasys had.Am I the only one who thinks they're ruining the series, the next final fantasy on PS3 looks sick but they're changing a classic series and tbh I think it was fine as it was. If he has totally given up them the games would sound like junkThis new Final Fantasy has real time battles... He still composes but has taken a step back. Apprently, he's still apart of the team but doesn't do the compose the soundtrack for the games how he wants anymore. FF12 there were around 4 other people (Who are clearly swag) working with him. Guy is a legend from FF7 did the composing all himself with all them midi tracks, best soundtrack to a game ever. Ever since Enix merged with Square, they are slacking, certain people have left the team to go do other things, such as that blue dragon game, but its clear to see both parties miss each other.You aint played FF7?! It doesn't come in this one. I feel sorry for anyone who completed that game because the ending was fraff. Like, there were no amazing twists, no tragic deaths, lacked in emotion, no idea who the main character was etc...Everything else was on point though... Its funny how i've played most of them that are held in high regard except that one...Personally I think they fell off from FF9 upwards, but 10 is the exception.... 10 was goodI mean FFXI...wtf was that sh*t?! who here has even played that? Square-Enix should write that off as a failure5,6,7,8 were the best of the series I reckon. I just don't think they have should have abandoned turn-based.
