im surprised nobody has said lethal .forward and Oi! get rotation everywhere. they get used on tv whenever an urban plot is used. and seeing as Oi! was top 10, the alum must've made some ps.
Shows that you know NOTHING about the industry.Chubby Dred got majority of money and go beat took their money that was spent on more fire crew.Lethal was riding a 1.2 corsa or something after that tune.

s club 7 made under 700,000 each since they first started till when they split.AND THEY SOLD MILLIONS AND PERFORMED AT MANY PLACES
Thing is, theyre going through a major label so what they make off of a cd is less than say a jme mixtape would be BUT then you could argue that they sold more so it would even it out but still, the money steps generated was split more ways than a mixtape
Mix tape + time and money and paying for studio etc etc = equivalent of £2.99 roughly a 39 hour shift

this what i was trying to say earlier with sugababes, even pop groups with top 10 singles arent making that much money, so why would grime artists.Same with others like steps, another level, east 17 etc
its possiblethem pop artist dont write theyre own lyricsnor do they own theyre own songsgrime artists doand plus these pop artist are backed by the majors so theyre contract is probably doo dooif a grime artist is signed, theyre most likely to be signed to a indie and most of the time theyre taking 30 - 50% of all revenue
These INDIE labels are owned by majors or get fund by majors, do not get it twisted!!!

I am a session player, studio engineer, and composer. I've been playing my instruments since I was 5 years old. I know what Im talking about. As for having to work in the industry first hand to know what goes on, I never said that. I said working anywhere in the spectrum would give you an idea. You cant possibly disagree with this - people have gold paved streets and flowers and sunshine ideas when they think of being a "popstar". They do not take into account where their money will go.
dont catch feeling cos i said ur making tea in the studio, all you mentioned about your music experience is what you do MUSICALLY. i didnt read you write how many contracts you have signed, or how many artist contracts you have seen and know who got what and how. by claiming to know more than others jus cos ur a session player isnt what im asking. mr Blk dropped a good run down of the cuts and procedure of payments, he didnt say he is wiley's cousin, thats what i asked you to do, i dont care to know who's musical session you played for cos thats not what this is about... how many contracts have you signed? are you a member of MCPRS? and about the house thing i dont think you are sure urself thats why ur asking me to do research, you made a silly claim so im asking you to prove it nuffin long.
