How old was the car when you bought it and how many miles had it done? Also how much was the insurance, if u had it?Tryna get an idea for how much I'll need for my whip, cos I wanna get suttin similar.
it's done about 50-60k miles lol, insurance was £900 and something a year as my first car, and I bought it second hand, it's about 4-5 years old now.
Where is the car? Have you ragged it?Tax/MOT?
It's in Cambridge lol, I moved and bought my Leon with me instead, it has been ragged to f*ck yeah, but I recently replaces the head gasket, and the gaskets on the manifolds and overhauled most of the engine lol, so it is in pretty decent condition. No MOT/Tax at the moment, should easily pass though, exhaust might need filling a bit, but I don't know.
that sounds like a shitpeice tbh i'll wait till u up the pics though

Whats with the secret pm'sIf your selling a whip post details and pics in here
Didnt think anyone else would be interestedHere's the PM
Here it is, sorry about the angles I couldn't be bothered to take it out of the drive and my drive aint that big lol. It aint washed it or prettied up for selling in these pics, it's how it just is on a day to day basis. I wasn't planning to sell it till june when my insurance runs out but I've been looking at some new cars and I'm getting excited, this is actually my first attempt at selling it. Don't know much about the cars history before me, except the fact that it was my aunties from almost new. So anything you need to know I can find out. Dont watch the edit in the first pic. But certain VIPers dont need to knwo what my house looks like. Hope you like it...dsc00099tw0.jpgdsc00098iw0.jpgdsc00097yx9.jpg

No thread hijack. If anyone wants to buy a 1.8 51 Plate Focus let me know.Seriouss, you should really stretch your budget to avoid buying something sh*t.Save for a couple months - I swear you're on 28k you said?
I really have been trying to save. My last car has been off teh road since before Xmas! But I live on my own so have loads of bills plus alot of debts still from uni.And most importantly, I am soooooo sh*t at saving. I'm thinking to spend £1000 I have now and then save to buy something nice in about a year. I don't want to get finance and end up in more debt.

I know the feeling.Erm, in that case, you thought about a small couple grand loan to go with that 1G you got from your bank? Interest rate should be absolutely negligible - you can get the repayments taken out of your salary automatically, and it means you get something to last a few years rather than months...
