Finding a new barber

I can't be the only one that dreads this?So I have to find a new regular barbers seeing as my last barber tried to cheat me out of £2. So after 2 years of unrewarded loyalty, I'm on the search again. It's the thing of trying a new guy and hoping that he does it right. You have no idea what coiuld happen, and all you know is that if he takes one part too low, the rest has to follow. Tried one guy in Coventry, and he did not do a good job. Made me have to shave off my goatie and tash because of his butter fingers.Just come back from one in Tottenham. Shape up is alright just about, but I won't be going back there. Now I'm on the search again. But yeah, I'm sure I'm not the only one that dreads this?PS: Any North man been to one barbers on Church Street/Winchester Road (Edmonton). Need to know what it's saying as I might try there next. And anyone been to Sams Unisex barbers by Camden Road station?

Hated this. The one on Winchester is decent, but it used to be better with the old owners (when Rollout and them man were the barbers), found out where he moved to and got trims from him about a month or 2 after the change, but he has since moved. Apparently the new barbers take the piss now charging £8 (used to be £6).

How much are shape ups, and I'm talking the whole face, tash and goatie since some barbers want to try and add £2 to the cost and take the piss. That's why I even fell out with my own barber. Man used to charge me £3 as standar, but when I come in for a shape up after cutting my own hair he wants to charge me £5 (for what he called a shape up and shave) like it's normal.

Only reason I went there is because my friend said he goes there and said it was cool. And believe me, I worry about shape ups more than the actual haircut.Might try Klass next time or this other place you're talking about.

Shape up and shave is normally £5 dude.Anyway I recently bought the grey Andis clipper. The one that barbers usually shape up and shave with.I have been going over my line up every few days after my fresh cut, preserving the fine line and shaving.I now only go to the barbers every 2.5 - 3 weeks.Back on the topic though, I don't know any barbers in North, but Bliss in Clapham junction is the one for me.

You're telling me he should charge me £3 to shape my hair line but leave my tash and goatie and cheek messy unless I pay him an extra £2? That's taking the piss in my opinion. Should be standard to do it all. How you going to leave a messy face but have a neat head top?

I share the same feelings. It's called inflation. I remember back in the day when it was £7 for everything for even adults. That is why I bought the Andis shaving clippers so that I shape up by myself, and only go to the barbers for a full hair cut and shave.

Where you buy the Andis from? And how much?Man who does mine is some italian guy called Mario.Probably the best guy I've ever had.I really feel to start trying the shape by myself coz my man only works til 7, but I'm afraid I might slip up and come like alopecia keys.
