If I was a Lakers fan I would be tearing my hair out @ Fisher continuing to start against the RocketsIt's obvious that without Yao they will play high tempo - Fish can't keep up at this speed, let alone guard Aaron Brooks, he's getting scorched on every possessionShane Battier is the manAnd Scola is dominating Odom and Pau on the boards b97u51.gifall without McGrady, Mutombo or Yao...2m7spw5.jpg"I ball for real, y'all niggas is Sam Bowie"Edit- AARON BROOKS AT THE BUZZER   WELCOME TO HEARTBREAK

34e5kev.jpgBrooks' buzzer-beating circus shot from the Artest inbound pass. Farmar's devastation is hilarious ESPN's headline - Pocket Rocket Explodes  And you can't put this one on the refs tbh. LA just expected Houston to roll over and die without Yao, and didn't turn up to play hard. I still think the Lakers take this series.. but they defo need to step it up on homecourt. And stop matching up Fisher with Aaron Brooks...

But you can always count on Ray to hit the DAGGERS in the 4thIt was f*ck*ng atrocious how the refs robbed the Magic of a key posession with under a minute left. Properly swung momentum back to the Celtics. But Orlando shoulda buried this series already, they only have themselves to blame - they failed miserably to get Dwight the ball and have him go to work inside, settled for contested jumpers far too often

Clippers got first round draft pick, will be interesting to see who they go for. Griffin is everyone's number 1 pick but Thabeet & Rubio are also highly rated. Rubio being european and thus less physical may be a gamble though.

Q did you read the Malcolm Gladwell Vs Simmons debatessome lols and strong rhetoric inside with good points on a draft reform
Nah man, are the articles on the NBA site?Denver Lakers game was real good. Nuggets were edging it until last 5 mins of 4th quarter then they made some dumb plays. Melo had a good game, defended Kobe well (even though he got 36 points). There is a problem with game 4 on monday as there is WWE Raw scheduled to take place at the same time as the BBALL game lol. Also in terms of technology Football is so f*ck*ng far behind most world sports, sh*t is a disgrace.

The Gladwell-Simmons dialogue is on ESPN.comI emphatically endorse their ideas about full court press, and the wider point about perennially-bad teams needing to take bigger risks. Draft reform is interesting as well - eliminating the incentive for tanking should be an NBA priority, but I dunno if Stern has the heart to do it. Gladwell nailed it when he characterised it as sports operating in a bubble where ordinary rules don't apply.. he seems dumbfounded by it, but to an extent it needs to be that way for sports to exist. Also the speculation about Lebron's future gives me a little hope that the league won't be a one-man show for the next decade/ Great win for the Lakers tonight too. Built momentum at the right moments, even with the Nuggets dominating for so much of the game. Denver shot themselves in the foot - if they'd hit FTs at a decent % then they woulda won this game by 10 pointsNuggets squad must be so disgusted with Anthony Carter  They battled hard for 47 minutes to get to that position, were on the verge of snatching one in the Lakers' house, and his soft little inbound pass put the game out of reach. Billups even shot him a nauseated look before defending the fastbreak

Was a good read, the full court press stuff was indeed interesting but very unlikely to be adopted by any coach in the league as they concluded. The stuff on Jordan not have a natural rival was also pretty good. I suppose the imperfections in each sport gives us all something to talk about and something for journalists to sell though right?Predictions on both finals?I'm saying Lakers in 6 Cavs in 5
