Dunno why you were negged cause you are 100% right, the combos are piss easy Im actually laughing at them. (I will tell you some more stuff when I see you the game is quite dumb tbh).

They completely threw execution barriers out of the window when making this, so understanding will get you a lot more further in this game, rather than what you could do like the past. Its not good...but its not bad neither, it just means everybody and anybody has a chance.

To be fair, a lot of the easy 100%s and stuff you are seeing now cost 3-4 bars + x- factor (minus dante and hulk so far.) Im guessing the more damaging combos that do the same with 1 bar or less coulld be more technical maybe? I dunno.

basic marvel 1+2 isn't that hard either imo only the broken sh*t was hard

by basic i mean chain>launch> sj>chain>special/super

but as it stands nobody has an excuse to drop anything really at all couple that with the damage output

I hope so. I also haven't seen anything that rewards creativity or simple understanding. I'm sure the game allows it and it's not a case of combo > launch > otg > super > x factor> super again. Everything ive seen is from tournaments so i guess people dont want to risk attempting whats going through their heads and just get guaranteed damage.

A lot of why you see the same combos is because yeh, at these events its usually one and off like AE @ Casino, people don't often get to play and just wanna stay on.

I will say, the game is actually very creative- one of the tings that make the game fun. If you imagine something is possible in Marvel 3 chances are that if you try it will probably work.

Still though, as much as I like the game I am not totally convinced. The ease of the damaging combos and level 3 x-factor > everything makes the game very questionable for me at this stage.

You shoudn't let my whinging put you off (if it did) Im just particular about games and its just my opinion. Honestly I would say wait untill you hit training mode cause thats where you will fall in love with the game. Training mode is gassed I have to admit.

The combos look good but if they are only hp hp hp hp thats quite shite

Plus Im not liking the way EVERY character does bnb>launch>aircombo>knocks them down>opponents bounces>super

Hopefully lateron when people get better at the game the combos wont look as flowcharty

I tried to explain SF4 syndrome but went off on one and deleted my post. It was far too long for this MvC3 thread, one of many symptoms of SF4 syndrome. Don't misunderstand me, i'm a huge fan of SF4 and like it a lot but it could have been so much better.

I agree with Lance, OTGs were much more special in the older games cause not everyone could do it. And it took alot of skill and timing. I havent played the game yet but from what im seeing its bare easy to OTG now and straight into Hypers aswell not even a cr MK hit confirm or something

and I think the combos were always easy in MVC2, outside of the tri jump madness of the top tier characters/infinites/and some more advanced sh*t, most of the combos where down to having a good memory rather than execution
