wow @ the poor white south africans, interesting.

They always existed but the Apartheid government kept the manual jobs (army, building railways etc) for them, but now that these jobs are mainly done by blacks the poor whites (almost exclusively Afrikaaners) have dropped to the same level of poverty as the poor blacks in South Africa, living in shanty towns

in South Africa

ive not been there, but ive never heard nor seen a documentary or read an article on that situation right there

all you here about is poor blacks and 'coloureds' over there

so yes i am shocked

swear you're always gaain on about how you're not an ignorant person

This amazing image won Aaron Lim Boon Teck first prize and $10,000 in a National Geographic competition. The Singaporean snapper took the picture after a trek was cancelled due to the eruption of the Gunung Rinjani volcano in Indonesia.

Chan Kwok Hung, of Hong Kong, won the People category for his picture of an Indonesian farmer racing buffalo.
