Capcom announced at the Street Fighter panel at EVO 2013 that five new characters and six new stages are going to make it into the next Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition 2012 update.

The new characters are the four from Street Fighter x Tekken: Rolento, Elena, Hugo and Poison. The fifth character is a brand new one that has never been seen in a Street Fighter game before, which does not exclude the possibility of it being from another Capcom franchise.

This is a DLC download which will cost $15, or $40 as a direct digital download/retail copy of the whole game. The DLC will work with both Super Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition through a continuous upgrade path.

Players who purchase the full digital release of the update will receive all previous DLC costumes for free. Also, UDON is designing brand new costumes that will be released as a pre-order bonus for retail.

The trailer showcasing the brand new name and logo will debut before AE Grand Finals at EVO 2013. The release of the game has been stated to be "early 2014", to be released on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Japanese arcades via the NESICA system.
