Showdown At High Noon (man u + chelsea)

Everton vs Manchester United 12.45 SS1

With four senior defenders missing, the Premiership leaders will also be hoping that Everton's top scorer Andy Johnson fails to overcome an ankle sprain.Buoyed by the excellent comeback against Milan in midweek, United will make the trip down the East Lancs Road hoping to continue their fine record at Goodison Park.Sir Alex Ferguson's side have lost just once in 12 visits to Goodison, with that defeat coming two years ago when Duncan Ferguson scored the only goal and United had Gary Neville and Paul Scholes sent off.Neville is among the defenders missing for United as he has yet to recover from an ankle injury sustained six weeks ago.Mikael Silvestre is out for the season with a dislocated shoulder, while Nemanja Vidic will not be pressed into a return after starting training again following a similar problem.Rio Ferdinand's groin injury will keep the centre-half out of Saturday's game, but he has a chance of playing in the second leg against Milan next Wednesday.Ferguson will likely stick with the same back four that started against Milan, although he will hope to avoid the sort of mix-up which contributed to Kaka's second goal at Old Trafford.Wayne Rooney returns to his first club, having scored six goals in five games, and he could be partnered in attack by Alan Smith, with Louis Saha still struggling with a hamstring problem.Alternatively, Ferguson could stick with the same XI which beat Milan 3-2 as Park Ji-sung undergoes tests on a knee injury.Everton's big worry is Johnson and David Moyes will hope the club's star striker is fit to lead the bid to cement a Uefa Cup spot.Johnson sprained his ankle in the early stages of last week's defeat at West Ham United and Moyes has his fingers crossed that the England international is fit.Moyes also has concerns over his other strikers, with James Beattie, James McFadden and Victor Anichebe carrying knocks. James Vaughan will undergo a fitness test after recently severing a vein in his foot.  Mikel Arteta, Manuel Fernandes and Alan Stubbs all shrugged off minor injuries to face The Hammers a week ago and remain in contention. But Moyes will have to make a change in goal as Tim Howard is ineligible, and has plumped for Iain Turner ahead of Richard Wright after the Scot's impressive form during a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday.
Chelsea vs Bolton 12.45 SS3
The Blues are kicking off at the same time as title rivals Manchester United as the race for the championship hots up.Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could try and freshen up his squad as they look to keep their bid for the Quadruple on track.German star Michael Ballack is expected to miss out again after he was forced to sit out the midweek win over Liverpool.Ricardo Carvalho could be rested as he battles with a hamstring complaint but Arjen Robben could make a surprise return after making a quicker than expected return to fitness from a knee injury.Michael Essien is available again after he missed the game in midweek through suspension and he is expected to go straight back into the side.Bolton have an injury crisis on their hands as they could be without up to six first-team players for the trip to West London.El-Hadji Diouf, Abdoulaye Faye and Tal Ben Haim are all definitely missing for Sam Allardyce's men.Allardyce is waiting on the fitness of Kevin Nolan, Nicky Hunt and Stelios Giannakopoulos with all three set to be given to the last minute to prove their fitness.
