most rappers sound like who theyre influenced by when they first come out

how much you wanna bet if their first record was as big as panda they would have stuck with those styles though

hes got a number one mimicking the biggest rapper of the last 18 month's style, it's a sign of the times

i also don't know who you're talking about when you say Jay, Cole and Eminem

they sounded like them when they came out, they certainly didn't sound like the biggest rapper at that time

people said Nas was like a young Rakim when he dropped, no one said he was catting his whole style tho was they, he was reminiscent of, not a homage of or to

The thing that bugs me with this guy is the fact that he sounds exactly like Future, you can't separate them.  I knew he was on TLOP PT2 but I did not realise it was Desiigner at the end of Freestyle 4 till about a month or two after release.

Whole time listening to it - I thought it was Future

Your point about him growing into his own thing is your most valuable point here

none of them artists blew off their imitations, they blew when they came into their own, like Thug
