Farmers won't throw the "non-uniform crops" away, they'll just sell them to fruit and veg stalls and the like, if they have leftovers that can't be sold then they will throw them away.

Agree with Toney here tbh, it's easy to say the noble thing in a hypothetical situation, but generally people don't help others especially if it involves taking a personal hit.
