She's all grown up

The qualification is only the start.I know a girl (family friend) who did Criminology, I think she did Forensics as part of it or something. She smacked it, did her sandwich year in America aswell.Works in Ikea.
You bring up these people you know alot who now work in retail.I dont know about Criminology so cant comment, but aerospace engineering is in a different league to courses like media studies fam, them degree's tend to have the graduates who end up in topshop or other retail places (no offence to any1 who takes it)
That other girl I know. It wasnt a normal media course, was a very VERY limited course, she got a 1st in it aswell. The course is irrelevant tho, the point is the qualification is only the 1st part, finding jobs are a different thing altogether.Cos you maybe good at exams or studying doesnt mean you can present yourself in the manner you need to get that dream graduate job.
Yh that goes without saying, you could come out from LSE with a 1st in Economics if you cant present yourself well in a interview you're not going to get far too quick. That 'Very very very limited' part is irrelevant though as its still a media course, unless it come with a guarenteed placement with fox studios or suttin. The way you come across is like you think that all those in uni or who have no contacts are destined to work in tescos. The course you do IS relevant.
lol not at all boss.If youve seen me speak on the subject before you will know I dont sit on ANY side of the fence. Its all down to the individual. You can leave school after GCSE's and make something of yourself or you can go uni and make something of yourself. But a course with a fancy name doesnt guarantee you anything, you dont think the other people on your course want your future job too?You think there are enough dream jobs to share?Regardless of what you think of media courses there are people who become very successful having taken one.The course is irrelevant, if you are the best or 1 of the best on WHATEVER course you are on you will make P.If you are at the bottom of your Astrophysics class you can wow your auntie and uncles at xmas but you will not make P.Whatever you wana do, be the best or 1 of the best and you have a future.

Ok, but if we were to be real about this. And put someone from the top of his class in Aerospace with the person top of his class doing Media, then no prizes to who's goin to be the more appealing graduate for a more senior/responsible position.I have nothing against degree's like media they all serve a purpose, just theres other degree's whose graduates display much better transferable skills.

But they are 2 completely different industries boss & you only get positions of seniorority or responsibility by having experience. You dont think there are people in Media earning over a million a year? lolTheres P in EVERYTHING, if you can get to the top.

The last point is a no-brainer.Of course there are man making P in media, theres man making P in every industry, but its alot harder to then with certain other courses. They are 2 diffent degrees, but with engineering you would have ALOT more options open to you (assuming you do well), which will give you better opportunities to gain experience, thats the whole point im trying to make.

Why do feel the need to lie always to try prove a point.
In the mid-1990s British Steel and the Building Research Establishment performed a series of six experiments at Cardington to investigate the behavior of steel-framed buildings. These experiments were conducted in a simulated, eight-story building. Secondary steel beams were not protected. Despite the temperature of the steel beams reaching 800-900 C (1,500-1,700 F) in three of the tests (well above the traditionally assumed critical temperature of 600 C (1,100 F), no collapse was observed in any of the six experiments). In building fires outside of such laboratory experiments, steel beams and columns probably never exceed 500ú C. In extensive fire tests of steel frame carparks conducted by Corus Construction in several countries, measured temperatures of the steel columns and beams, including in uninsulated structures, never exceeded 360úC. 3
Keep showing your lack of knowledge you prick. You dead yourself everytime. biggrin.gif

LOL You try prove me wrong when what you quoted is not on the same scale as the wtc.Do you know what quality steel used???Stress strain????You do know that any material like metal will lose its strength while super heated dont you???You chat sh*t man, just quoting anything that goes for your agenda, yet fail to mention structual damage done by the towers falling.Your a d*ckhead, when you post sh*t like this, it only proves my point you read anything on the net that supports what you say, when you are wrong!!!Go uni, get a job after, get married (if any gurl would like you), have a few kids and grow old.Just shut the fuuck up about conspiracies.Mans going on like its the cold war.GET A LIFE!!!!!!!

You got proved wrong now you are pissed. The damage to WTC 7 is minimal which is proven with photographs and video footage.Ask your lecturer how many steel framed buildings in history that has collapsed due to fires then come back with some satisfactory answer because you are unable to do that.
