The whole article is a load of business-aimed, or rather lender-aimed spin, having nothing whatsoever to do with football or the real-life merits of Tottenham moving to the Olympic stadium. The intention is to scare up finance. Everyone's agenda is on full view here, especially Leiweke, who is trawling for a deal and wants to stir up some publicity. Of course it's a bloody Plan B. You don't spend the best part of fifty million on a new scheme, over a five year period, knowing for four of those years that the Olympic stadium is going to be there, and then just drop the original plan and wander off to the Olympic stadium instead. No one else is going to build a stadium in Tottenham, so if we dont do it, the whole scheme just goes pffft, leaving a half-demolished neighbourhood and thousands of deeply pissed off locals.
