FamilyTree
Jurgen Klinsmann has sought assurances over Spurs' future owners as he considers replacing Martin Jol as manager.Germany's 2006 World Cup coach has been approached by Tottenham officials and is keen to begin his career in club management at White Hart Lane.Klinsmann, however, is concerned about the Spurs majority shareholder's plans to sell the club and last week attempted to contact Enic's principal investor, Joe Lewis, to ascertain his exact intentions. The German reportedly wanted Lewis' word that he will not permit a takeover inside the next three years in order to to take the job. However, if Enic were prepared to hand over ownership of the company in the near future, Klinsmann is also ready to enter into discussions with the new owners to see if he could work with them. Rsonist
Only man i would take if Jol were to go.Its been proven, especially with us, that former great players dont work as managers at the club which made them famous, but f*ck it, Jurgen is close to God status. Rsonist
Chimbonda's new contract....... Tottenham are ready to offer Pascal Chimbonda a bumper new deal in order to keep him at White Hart Lane. The French defender has constantly been linked with a move away from the club and Spurs are keen to put all the speculation to bed by getting him tied down to a new deal.Chelsea had been strongly linked with a move for the right-back last summer but Tottenham managed to fend off their interest and now want him to commit his future.Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is now said to have opened talks and wants to get the bumper deal sorted as soon as possible. Black
Chimbonda is good at attacking but hes poor at defendingNah not at all This guy is probably the best tackler in the team he gets down the wing one of out best players The only thing is he dilly dallys on the ball
Gundam
Nah, he's of the best in the league when it comes to tackling and one on ones situations (Apart from that Villa game where he was sh*t and young was destroying him)He's marking and concertration level whilst defending set pieces are poor still. Zdot
I dont rate him at defending, he watches the player to much, and so many set peices which we have conceded are his fault because he doesnt mark.
Rsonist
ZDot has a point. He is a brilliant defender for breaking down attacks, but when it comes to set pieces, Chimbo sometimes switches off and has a bad habit of leaving his man alot of the time. That said he still has brilliant leap, and after Bale was easily MOTM against Man Utd this year. He is still quality and one of the best in the league.
