Source: MetroNew Tottenham signing Rafael van der Vaart has revealed he turned down a transfer to Liverpool in order to join Spurs on deadline day last week.The Dutch international revealed speculation about a summer move to Bayern Munich was wide of the mark - but admitted Reds boss Roy Hodgson had made an approach for him.Van der Vaart is on duty with his national team ahead of his arrival in north London for the first time later this week.But, speaking to Sky Sports, he revealed he rejected Liverpool for Spurs - who have qualified for the group stages of this season's Champions League."Bayern were not interested, but Liverpool were interested," he said."In the end you have to have a good feeling, and with [Harry Redknapp] I got a good feeling."I am happy I am going to Spurs. Many thanks for your email.Uefa's website is correct - Sandro is not included in our Champions League squad for the Group Phase. The player has joined us on the back of a full season in Brazil and will require time to settle in and adapt to the pace of the Premier League.
