from seeing bad experiences i wouldnt buy a 2nd hand car unless its from a main dealer such as Vauxhall or Ford etc as you have a garantueeor id only buy 2nd hand if its off an old woman driver or something

i didnt get a logbook stillbut i got all the past MOT certificatesjust make sure you sign the ownership forms properly (the current owner should send that off, not you)

Price depends on the miles the cars done and what spec/trim level the car is, cause u can have a basic car with no electric windows, air con etc... as apposed to a higher spec model which would be valued morebefore u check out a car, do a HPI check on it to make sure it aint an insurance write off, have outstanding finance or stoleneven if u cant bring a mechanic u can check most stuff urself like signs of head gasket failing by checking the oil filler cap for white gunky stuff, thread on tyres, CV joints/boots not cracked, smoke from exhaust, steering, clutch not slipping, lights, and lights on the dashboard informing u of any electrical/engine problems, backbox securely fixed, no air in brake pedals and signs of cut & shut or poor accident repair workand if the guy gives u a service history, its good to know whats been serviced and what needs donealso depending on your vehicle your buying u can also go on whatcar.co.uk and check the car u are getting for any common faults reportedand its best to test drive a car on cold start up to assess the engines performance

That would be the VIN number, but aint really changed much unless the person u are buying it off from has done a cut and shut job on the vehicleYea u can get insured with a provisional, but it will be a little bit more expensivemore time u dont need to provide any evidence of a licence when obtaining insurance, they just want your moneyits only when u make a claim when they can say 'ok you told us u had a licence in the first place, when infact u didnt, so we aint gonna approve the claim'

imma buy a van after i learn, safe for the offer thoughand computer as in instead of a stereo, u have a computer theretouch screen of coursei need sat nav, but dnt want the sat nav ting, so comp with GPS will doplus u can play mp3s, watch videos, go online, have a parking sensor/cam ting, view car diagnostics etc
